A Room of Possibilities

Within my mind lies a room,
Filled with books of every kind,
Some opened, some closed,
And some buried in the cobwebs of time.

Stories of love and loss,
Of heartache and of glee,
Tales of my past triumphs,
And regrets that still haunt me.

I find myself drawn,
To the books that are open wide,
Eager to immerse myself,
In the stories they hide.

But as I look around,
I realize I'm trapped in a cage,
Not made of bars or walls,
But of my own fears and doubts.

I see now that these stories,
Both happy and sad,
Should only serve as a reference,
Not a hindrance to my path.

And so I choose to break free,
From this self-constructed prison,
Leaving behind the tales of my past,
Embracing the promise of a new beginning.

With each step, I leave behind,
The weight of my old stories,
And I step into the light,
Feeling the warmth of the sun on my face.

No longer bound by my past,
I am free to chase my dreams,
To create new stories,
And achieve greater feats.

For within my mind lies a room,
Filled with endless possibilities,
And I am the author,
Of my own story.

  1. Great poem.
It will be a great idea to have this expression demonstrated in a vid.
